About me

What are your hobbies? How do you like to spend your time?
Traveling, IT projects.

What field are you currently working in? What do you do?
IT

Do you subscribe to the philosophy of fruitarianism, even if your diet doesn’t consist solely of fruit right now?
I do, but in Russia I add greens and cabbage; in the tropics, I eat coconuts instead of greens.

What kind of diet are you following right now? Do you drink water?
Fruit, occasionally egg yolks for B12, and in Russia I also eat greens, cabbage, and asparagus. I haven’t drunk water for a year—just as an experiment.

Since what year/month have you been on this type of diet?
February 20, 2019—strict fruitarianism; since June 10, 2024, I’ve added egg yolks and, from time to time, greens from temperate regions.

What led you to this way of eating? What inspired you?
My wife.

And what continues to inspire you now?
Perfect health, an endless supply of energy and vitality.

What challenges did you face along the way?
Not really—everything went perfectly. I did run out of B12 in my sixth year of strict fruitarianism, but I solved the problem with targeted supplementation without changing my diet; we’re moving forward.

When you changed your diet, what changed in your life—in how you feel, in your personal circle, socially, and at work?
I don’t have a personal circle besides my wife; she’s also on a fruit-based diet, and we travel a lot, so not much has changed in that regard.

What has changed—what’s gotten better or worse? How did you feel physically before, and how do you feel now?
All my chronic illnesses are gone; I no longer get the flu or colds. It’s been seven years on a fruit-only diet, and I haven’t taken a single pill. Ra

What has changed? What has gotten better or worse? How did you feel physically before, and how do you feel now?
All my chronic illnesses are gone; I no longer get the flu or colds. It’s been seven years on a fruit-based diet, and I haven’t taken a single pill. Before, I used to get sick, rely on painkillers, and get tired quickly.

How did the transition to a fruit-based diet go at the very beginning? What kind of diet were you on before you decided to become a fruitarian? Did it happen overnight, or was it a gradual process?
I was transitioning from a vegetarian diet, which I’d followed for over 15 years.
For the first month, in addition to fruit, I ate cheese, nuts, blended seeds, and a few vegetables.
During the second and third months, I cut out the cheese but ate plenty of nuts, blended seeds, and a few vegetables.
Starting in the fourth month, I cut out the vegetables and seeds, keeping only the occasional nut.
By the eighth month, I was eating only fruit, and I haven’t had a single slip-up since.

What’s your deep-seated motivation for sticking to a fruit-based diet or your current eating plan?
I can’t imagine any other way of life. Fruit is the foundation for a healthy and energetic life.

What advice would you give to people who want to switch to a fruit-based diet but are hesitant or can’t seem to make the transition?
It works—you have to try it—but don’t get discouraged. If you’ve decided to move forward, just keep going. It’s better to make the transition gradually, even if that means slipping back to cooked food occasionally.

Your favorite fruit recipe or favorite fruits
